Monday TV

Ughhh...7th Heaven depressed me. I guess I hate seeing anything come to an end...even if it's a poorly written show that should have ended a long time ago. Plus they did those flashbacks where you can see how much the actors have changed from year 1 until now. They ending was SILLY! Three of the kids announced they were all pregnant with twins! LAAAME! They even had Haylie Duff show up at the end. I didn't watch the show during the time that she co-starred on it, but I remember hearing she was in the show. But there was no Ashley Simpson...and no guy who played Martin. And no Richard Lewis. There were a ton of guest stars they could have brought back but didn't.  Plus the two little boys, who have been on the show now for like 4 or 5 years, totally got gypped.  All the other kids got a flashback scene thingy...but not Sam and Dave.  I'd sue if I were them...or maybe they'll get revenge by becoming the next Olsen twins.

Hey...10 pts to anyone who knows what Stephen Collins and Catherine Hicks (Mr. & Mrs. Camden) have in common other than 7th heaven!!

And like, I totally slept through David Blaine's "magic" trick, but from what I've heard, it sounds like he almost died. Bummer! You should've held on just a little longer David! I bet you could have made it! or at least died trying!  Ewww...I heard his skin was all mushy and white.  Maybe Michael Jackson really never did have plastic surgery...maybe he just spent too much time under water!

Good-bye Camdens!!!

Well, Papa Razzi has a dirty little secret. I'm soooooo ashamed, but I'm going to trust you folks...and open up to you. (trembling, hesitating)...well, several years ago, I (gasp) started watching 7th Heaven, cuz I had a big ole crush on Barry Watson. It's such a BAD show in many ways. I used to joke about how every week the "issue" of the show would somehow affect all the Camdens. One week's issue was drugs and Matt and Mary had to actually deal with actual peer pressure, but I remember little Ruthie was like addicted to sugar or something...and Simon was probably hooked on root beer...you know...it was about how ALL the Camden's had to deal with addiction. LOL...and that happened quite often.

Well, so I stopped watching it after Matt & Mary left the show, because if there isn't a hot guy on it, why watch it?? But lately, I have started watching it again sporadically -- either when I need a good-hearted chuckle, or if I feel the murders, drugs, and shoplifting have corrupted me too much for the week, and I need a moral compass to help guide me.

So, if you don't know, supposedly the show is ending next week. (Although, there are rumors that it might still be on, at least in some form, next year...because w/o 7th Heaven, there is no WB!). Regardless, next week is supposedly the series finale. They're even bringing Barry Watson and Jessica Biel back (yay!). But tonight's episode totally grossed me out. It involved flashbacks to the first season and showed Reverend Camden talking to middle daughter Fugly Face (I mean, Lucy) about getting her period -- barf. And now that Ruthie is in high school, she had her period too. She totally asked her pop to buy her some tampons (barf)...and he's all "big box, unscented, regular, right?" That's just TMI for a dad to know!

And...it turns out that the whacky Mr. & Mrs. Camden use the code "sleeping in" to mean "time for some nookie". AGGGHHH WHY DO I WATCH????
