If you watched American Idol last week, you may have picked up on a little bit of tension between Queen guitarist Brian May and Idol contestant Ace Young. Ace wanted to change the arrangement of "We Will Rock You" (as the judges are always pushing for), but Brian appeared to be having none of that. In not so many words he said "You ain't messin' with MY precious song". Well, Brian May has responded...with a lengthy statement...that basically blames the result on manipulative editing. He claims that he and the band were nothing but supportive of Ace and all the contestants. They also didn't perform live on the Wed. night results show, because they felt that would be selling-out and cheapening their image. Ummm...okay, but being on the show PERIOD is okay and isn't a desperate bid for publicity, right??? :) K...just want to keep that straight...Tuesday nights are filled with integrity and Wed. nights are for sell-outs! :) Personally...I think the REAL issue was hair. Brian was just jealous over Ace's glorious head of hair.
